INTRODUCTION trung tâm Anh ngữ CAE Leaders

World economic integration is on the rise, it is expected that in the next few years, foreign investors will pay more attention to Vietnam – an extremely potential market and abundant human resources. To seize the opportunity, language development is imperative, because language is the tool that helps connect and connect with the whole world.

The importance of today’s language has been paid more attention to and equipped for children by their parents at an early age. They send their children to language centers to learn English. But the truth proves that very few parents grasp and choose the right method to learn English effectively for children to develop themselves in the era of international integration.

According to the statistics of the Department of Education and Training, in 2018, only Ho Chi Minh City, there were 694 foreign language & information technology centers and 395 branches of education institutions. Of these, nearly 90% of the centers teach foreign languages, mostly English, with the participation of nearly 4,500 teachers. This alarming number shows that English language centers are increasing massively and the demand for children to learn English is increasing sharply in the recent few years’ period.

During the internship at the CAE Leaders Language Center, at the sale consultant position, I am more understand those concern of parents. They want their kids to be able to communicate well in English from very early age. They think that learning early can help their children have better accent and English may become the second language of the kid. Consequently, the children are equipped with English skills even before they started to study other subjects.

Understand those demand, CAE Leaders Language Center was established and bringing a new teaching method for children in Ho Chi Minh city. CAE Leaders Language Center uses the LSW (Listening – Speaking – Writing) method in teaching. This method is not very popular and this created a unique characteristic for the Center. With the aim of making kids to imitate the native American accent and communicate like a native speaker. I was very interested in this teaching method and I decided to research on “Satisfaction of student’s parents on Communicative American English classes of CAE Leaders Language Center”.

1. Introduction to the CAE Leaders Language Center

CAE LEADERS is the first Vietnamese language school system in Vietnam that applies LSW (Listening – Speaking – Writing) method in teaching. CAE LEADERS is a place for 3 to 10 year olds. As a native child begins to learn to speak, CAE LEADERS teaches children as young as 3 years old with the aim of learning English as soon as possible, the easier it is to imitate the native American accent and communicate like a native speaker.

LSW (Listening – Speaking – Writing) method teaches children to LISTEN first, then SPEAK and then WRITE. The child’s ability to acquire English will not be governed by the written word as other methods or adult methods. The LSW method is a new teaching technique that helps to maximize the child’s ability to imitate, from which the native sounds come to the subconscious mind from the simplest native sounds. LSW is applied to the teaching method of CAE LEADERS communication center, which has been approved and recognized by Hancock International College, USA.

CAE LEADERS is a member of the ACCRAO education organization with the most famous universities in the world such as Harvard, Yale, MIT, Berkeley, Stanford, etc.
CAE Leaders was established in February, 2016. The first location of CAE Leaders Language Center is at no.511-513 Dien Bien Phu street, Ward 25, Binh Thanh District, Ho Chi Minh City. Until now, the CAE Leaders Language Center brand has total 11 branches in Ho Chi Minh city. The company has been grown very fast after only 3 years of operation.

My internship and research was conducted at Branch 08: 307 An Duong Vuong, Ward 3, District 5, Ho Chi Minh City. I was an intern of the sale department – Consultant position.
The Sale Department is a team of young, dynamic, enthusiastic and motivated persons. The department consists of 3 Sale executive and the Sale consultant team of 6 persons. The daily work of department is researching for potential customers by variety channels; making customer’s visit to offer programs and services to prospective customers; consulting individual customers who come to the Center to register classes.

2. Details on assigned works during internship period

As a Consultant in the Sale Department, I was assigned tasks as follows:
– Translating documents
– Inputting customer’s data to the system
– Preparing meeting materials (Ex: print out PowerPoint for a new program discussion meeting, print other type of documents)
– Taking note and making report for meetings of the Department, then sending the meeting memorandum for all team members.
– Preparing new sale contract with customers
– Sending out an email contain the flyer of new promotion program of the Center to existing customers and potential customers (customer list was provided by a colleague, approved by the department head).
– Learning and observing colleague on how to make consultation session with visitors of the Center and how he can convince customers to buy learning program of our Center.
– Learning on how to find potential customers
– Making phone calls to customers to ask for the status of teachers and for contract renewal or introducing new programs of the Center.
– Working at consultant desk of the Center, I consulted customers, made introduction about our classes to customers and all other products that customers care about.

3. Purpose of the research topic

The research is aimed for:
– Evaluate the satisfaction level of Communicative American English classes of CAE Leaders Language Center.
– Proposing appropriate recommendations to improve parent satisfaction with Communicative American English classes
• The research questions:
– How customers are satisfied on Communicative American English classes of CAE Leaders Language Center?
– What can CAE Leaders Language Center do to improve their customer satisfaction on Communicative American English classes?

4. Report structure and methodology

This study was designed mainly in the form of quantitative research through questionnaires to collect information and was incorporated with qualitative research through in-depth interview with some customers and manager of the Center on customers’ satisfaction. As a result, research results will be higher compelling and reliable.

There are 100 questionnaires made by student parents and were collected to get the statistical data for analyzing.
With years of experience in managing and facing with customers at CAE Leaders, the manager gave me many practical information which helped us in explaining reasons be hide each measurement criteria. There are two interviews I made: before we collected the data from questionnaires and after having data from questionnaires.

– The 1st interview helped me in adding more measurement criteria and reviewing all questionnaire format. I got many goods ideas and have an initial picture of key measurement criteria as well as more understanding about the summer course’s details/ activities.
– In the 2nd interview, the Manager helped me explained the reasons for all feedback I got and gave me his ideas on why parents reacted on each question in the questionnaire.
